I completed my PhD in environmental sciences in 2018 at the University of Eastern Finland, after which I spent two years working as a Postdoc at the Université de Montréal. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Environmental and Biological Sciences of the University of Eastern Finland, and a visiting researcher here in the AtmosBios Lab.
My research interests include assessing the role of climate warming and permafrost thaw on carbon and nitrogen cycling in Arctic ecosystems. During my research visit, I will study greenhouse gas flux dynamics at Trail Valley Creek research station in the Western Canadian Arctic, in close collaboration with Wilfrid Laurier University.
