Biography

I study the effects of wildfire on tundra plant communities, soil nutrients & soil characteristics, and active layer dynamics in the Western Canadian Arctic. Prior to that, I completed my B.Sc. in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University and a Master’s in Geography at McGill University studying microbial phosphorus cycling at Mer Bleue Bog in southeastern Ontario. My research interests lie at the intersection of biogeochemical cycling, plant-soil interactions, permafrost dynamics, and ecological disturbance.
