I am a master’s student in geography at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Dr. Oliver Sonnentag (University of Montreal) and Dr. Joe Melton (Environment and Climate Change Canada). I am also part of PermafrostNet. Before starting my master’s, I completed a bachelor’s degree in physics at the University of Montreal. I now work with CLASSIC, a land surface model developed at Environment and Climate Change Canada. My goal is to make it possible to simulate the presence of mosses on different types of lands with CLASSIC. This will allow us to make better climatic predictions for regions covered in mosses, for example high latitude regions underlain by permafrost.
